That’s right. The olives in the last comic were merely foreshadowing. Portents for a cameo of Dickens’ favorite orphan. All intentional, I assure you.
Speaking of that orphan, the panel in which he appears in was no easy feat. First, I had to color it via the normal blood sacrifices to Pek’rar, Chromoctopus that dwells within the sun. Then, I had to employ a cadre of vampires to literally suck the colors out of the panel, giving it that vintage, monochromatic look. The vampires may have been overzealous, however. Those background children look like shadows of their former selves.
They were orphans though, so nobody will miss them.
We’d better get started on that gruel. There’s a lot left. Hopefully we’ll be done by Tuesday. Start slurping.
